Donate Your Time
Volunteers with Jacob’s Ladder assist our patients and organization in a variety of ways but with one common goal — improving the end-of-life experience for individuals and families in Southwest Missouri.
We’re honored that you’d like to share your gift of time with us. We’ll provide you with the appropriate training and guidance to help you make the most of the time you spend assisting our patients and their families at Jacob’s Ladder.

Current Opportunities
Garden Care and Landscaping
Assist with beautification of outdoor seating areas (create or maintain flower beds, watering, and/or providing upkeep to our koi pond)
Community Awareness
Become educated on the social model for end-of-life care and assist with public education to let others know we are here to serve them and their loved ones.
Companionship
Visit with our patients and sing, read, spend time with them as they continue onto the last of their journey.
Grant Writer
Use your writing expertise to help our Growth exponentially by searching and writing grants that will propel our cause further towards the future.
Home Maintenance
Sign up with your availability to participate in the upkeep of our home. This includes skills like plumbing, electrical,Pest Control, etc.
Cleaning Services
Make a difference by assisting us in the upkeep of our home. This includes skills like plumbing, electrical,Pest Control, etc.
Events
Help us greet/seat our guests, prepare our venues, help us clean up and be a part of our upcoming events.

Volunteer Phone Tree
Help Jacob’s Ladder without agreeing to a minimum time commitment! We are looking for individuals that are interested in providing companionship to our guests, comforting our families, doing chores around the house, landscaping, completing minor repairs, etc.
To sign up, send an email to jacobsladdercare@gmail.com with your name, home address, and mobile number. We will send you a confirmation text that you’re registered. You will then be added to our Volunteer Phone Tree. When we have a volunteer need, the Volunteer Phone Tree will be activated and a text message will be sent out to those who have signed up. You may give as little or as much time as you would like and any help is greatly appreciated.
